I don’t know about you, but my self growth journey can feel rocky sometimes…
Some weeks I’m NAILING it and other weeks you’ll catch me hiding behind the covers…
This makes perfect sense because the wellness & self care world, can often paint a picture of self growth to be one continuous motion in the upward direction.
Well, I’ll be the first to admit that that’s the opposite case for me!
That’s why this week we’re diving right into journal prompts for self growth to give our mental health and motivation an extra boost.
HOW DO YOU JOURNAL FOR SELF GROWTH?
When it comes to journaling, there’s no right or wrong way.
It’s a personal experience, that’s geared towards what works best for your unique needs and healing journey ( that’s what makes it such a powerful outlet)
If you’re in the beginning of your journal ritual, here’s some ideas:
- Start an art journal ( draw, craft, or paint your feelings instead of writing them)
- Write out affirmations to recite to encourage more positive self-talk
- Free write whatever is on your mind
- Set outside a specific time of day that works for you
- Give yourself a time limit or go on for however long you write
- Read an insightful post, quote,poem, etc. & reflect on what that means for you
- List things you’re thankful for
- Write out your daily goals, schedules, & plans
- And of course, use journal prompts for deeper self reflection & growth!
