Is your anxiety following you into your fall self care season?
As an artist, I’m too familiar with the creative anxiety that always seem to be a lurking shadowy figure in the form of overthinking, restlessness and unfinished projects ( especially in darker & colder seasons)
But even with the darker nights, fall is actually the season where my anxiety is at its quietest and my creativity is its highest.
How?
There’s something nostalgic and inviting about the crisp energy of the fall season.
Perhaps it’s the memories of the upcoming holidays, the comforting feel of warming drinks & cozy sweaters or the changing weather that inspires us to make a positive change into our own lives.
“Autumn finally arrived. And when it did, I came to a decision. Something had to give. I couldn’t keep on living like this.”

CREATIVITY ABUNDUNCE
“Autumn always sparks my creativity – like any other season. Autumn has also a very grounding effect. Autumn reflects the wisdom of nature and slow pace”.
Petra Veikkola
Creative inspiration in the fall is all around us throughout the day, there’s no need to search for it.
There’s just something magical about the fall atmosphere that seems to have a certain “glow” and calmness to it that can be reflected in our creative work.
This feeling we get in fall isn’t just a coincidence… Research supports that our bodies try to mimic the transitional changes that happen through fall.
“It provides us with the ability to put in motion plans that will materialize those goals and desires.”
