What is “mindful living?”
Often our insecurities and past traumas from our childhood our manifested into our reactions in our various every day situations.
I know I can relate to this much of a mother of a very busy and vibrant 8 month old!
These mindful living are designed to guide us to uncovering layers of unconscious patterns so that we can enjoy:
- Deeper & more meaningful connections
- Respond instead of reacting
- Learn more about yourself
The List
- Box Breath 3 times a day for at least 3-6 minutes
- Practice mindful drinking
- Limit processed sugars & foods
- Eat seasonal
- Focus on balancing blood sugar through nutrition
- Walk / move after meals
- Drink diluted apple cider vinegar with water an hour before eating ( helps with digestion)
- Engage in evening check ins ( with yourself & others) by asking what went well today / examine any conflicts
- Celebrate mistakes by talking about anything that went wrong during the week & what you learned about it
- Engage in a non spending challenge
- Dedicate time to just be still, no distractions
- Spend uninterrupted moments fully present with your loved ones ( even if just for 15 minutes)
- Practice gratitude
- Every half hour,move your body & truly notice the environment around you / notice how your body feels
- Ditch multi-tasking
- Practice active listening ( remembering to take a few moments before responding)
- Study conscious communication habits
- Practice loving-kindness to yourself & others throughout the week ( holding the door open, smiling at strangers, volunteering, forgiving yourself & others, leaving notes for loved ones)
- Send a text of appreciation to friend / family / anyone that comes to mind
- Spend time in nature / walk around the city whenever you can
